DEVELOPING THE HOME FOR EDUCATIONAL vr ONLINE

LEARNING WITHOUT LIMITATIONS

Lets TALK about the future of Learning

Since 2012 we have been thinking about the future of learning,

We have been researching and testing our ideas in the lab and in the field (virtually that is) and now in 2017 we have developed a mature and nuanced understanding of VR which allows us to work from a best practices bible that quickly and accurately breaks down the problem or situation you are facing and deliver stunning results in effective time frames

LEARN TOGETHER

we are building a platform to allow shared access to photoreal environments in VR built from real world data using a combination of photogrammetry and laser scans to recreate and preserve wonders of science, history and geography for generations to come

Since 2013 we have been researching the future of learning and have performed innumerable research experiments to test our assumptions, during our work we came to discover the power of real world data in a virtual setting and the immediate advantages it offered in realism and the capability for inducing “presence”

this project was originally formed to create compelling environments for learning and exploration but within a short time we realised the potency of creating the home for such content and the power of bringing content creators together to offer a wide selection of experiences that would draw a significant number of users

ROB

HEAD CHEF

It took me a while to realise my entire professional career has been about idea communication, I have worked in a variety of industries and a more roles than I care to count but the one things that ties them together is the ability to break down complex theories and ideas into easy to understand data,

When I became aware of VR's resurgence it was immediately apparent that this was a huge breakthrough, not for its use as a gaming peripheral but as the ultimate tool for creative expression, once I understood this it was a simple leap to see its potential as a learning and communication tool and thus TeachVR was born.

DAVE

CHEF DE CUISINE

Ever since the initial Oculus kickstarter I’ve been fascinated with the potential of using Virtual Reality in an educational context. One of the main challenges in science communication is engaging an audience and conveying concepts to a group where each individual has their own unique way of understanding ideas.

Virtual Reality represents a new medium that taps into the way that humans have evolved to see and experience the world, Finally we get a real sense of scale and depth and immersion. This presents an incredible opportunity to interact with real world data, models, and art in novel ways which up until this point were impossible.

THOMAS

CHEF LA MUSIQUE

My interest in Virtual Reality comes through games and music. I compose soundtracks for games and film for a living and the potential for merging music composition with a virtual environment caught my attention. Having worked with software for developing games and audio for games, creative ideas began to flow for immersive interaction.

Through that I’ve found myself fascinated with ways to connect sound and objects in an interactive environment on an educational level. Creating content that could be informative and scientific, thought provoking and artistic.
